Why This Could Be President Trumps Time To Shine

The President has his enemies. It did not require Twitter to come out and admonish users against wishing death on people in their tweets for us to know that. Yet, Trump’s recent COVID diagnosis has shocked the entire nation, with politicians on both sides including his opponent Joe Biden showing support for the president’s recovery on social media.

For Trump, however, if he emerges from this disease healthy, it has the potential to be a tale of resiliency that can capitulate him to re-election, by employing both sympathy and a reminder of what there is to lose to energize voters.

We have seen the nation, quite literally being burned to the ground in cities such as Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland where there have been over 100 days of violent riots and protests, without any ambition from the local government to maintain order.

Though Trump is viewed as a polarizing figure, he seems to be the only choice that has promised to maintain law and order as opposed to a Democratic party that has indirectly and at times consciously endorsed anarchy and groupthink — notions that go precisely against the values of the Constitution.

History provides us with some great examples of leaders that have arisen from near-death experiences to arise and lead their people to prosperity. From Ronald Reagan surviving an assassination attempt in 1981, to King Phillip IX rising from a deadly infection to lead his people on a holy crusade (leading him to be the first King of France to be canonized as a saint).

While the President will not be canonized by the Church, there is a great much at risk this election that will determine the outlook of the country for generations to come — most imperatively, the appointment of a Supreme Court Justice which will affect a host of issues from abortion, Second Amendment rights, free speech, and much more.

It is perhaps a cliche to state that this election is the most significant of our lifetime, still, it certainly feels that way given how much is at stake and that our country’s moral values will be redefined if radical leftist entities take control if the Democrats prevail. Joe Biden himself may be a centrist, but he has allowed his campaign to become a vehicle for the far-left, and this puts the future of the country in peril.

From civil unrest and the Supreme Court, this November’s election is an inflection point to which direction our country will go. The President, if successful in his recovery, should return expecting a boost from a base that is energized, but it will be up to him to make this his moment to seize.
